Below is a running list of the new things I try.

My goal is to try something new every day.


28 May 2018 | Listened to Marc Maron's podcast WTF. I don't mind swearing, but this was a bit extreme even for me. Meditated with a singular topic. The focus was ketosis. I liked doing this, and helped me understand and better resolve myself to stay the keto path. I'm sure I'll try this more in the future. I listened to new music from a recommendation from All Songs Considered. Thunderpussy isn't quite my genre, but I appreciate their 80's nostalgia vibe. I'll stick to The Sounds for my 80's throwback fix.

27 May 2018 | Designed part of a roleplaying game adventure in Google Drive (a drawing to show the flow of urban locations). Cooked with galangal and lotus root (in a delicious green curry). Put honest-to-goodness anchovies on a pizza, which turned out great because they are salty and unami-y which can't be said for most pizza ingredients outside of tomato sauce.

26 May 2018 | I signed up for a streaming media service, Hulu. I really just wanted to watch season 2 of The Good Place, and was dismayed to learn NBC has the first episodes; Hulu has the back half. So I watched some Community instead.

25 May 2018 | Gave out my first care bag to a panhandler. Ate new sashimi: opah and black fin tuna. Both were fine if unremarkable. At least the black fin tuna was affordable compared to ahi tuna. Shout out to Coastal Seafoods.

24 May 2018 | Ate at The Iron Ranger. They had a pretty good porketta sandwich. It would have been better with more anise and less sandwich (although it was gluten free).

23 May 2018 | Sewed a flat felled seam on a dressshirt. The shirt isn't done yet, so don't know how it turned out.

22 May 2018 | At aerial class did lots of new things. I learned a new leg stretch (on back, out to side), a new push up variant on tissu (hold tissu, lean back, push up back to standing), swung on trapeze bar (from hang, swung up to touch ankles on bar), and on trap—a lay back.

19 May 2018 | Started 1:1 dance  lessons with Cindy at TC Swing. Ate at Dino's (do not recommend). Visited Snake River Farms' for Spring Farm Day.

18 May 2018 | Over my lunch break, walked around the pond behind my office twice. I had a little extra time and used the walk to relax and clear my mind for the rest of the day.

17 May 2018 | Drank a can of sparkling water at work.

16 May 2018 | I made a sauce of mayonnaise and green harissa. 

15 May 2018 | I followed guided yoga on youtube.

14 May 2018 | Traveled home and worked out over lunch. This ended up taking way too long and I won't repeat it.

13 May 2018 | Helped tear down Xelias studio after the weekend of student showcases.

12 May 2018 | Solo camped at Afton State Park

11 May 2018 | Took a planned day off with no agenda -- just to recuperate and relax.

07 May 2018 | Spoke in front of my entire company at a town hall.
